WHO WE ARE

IMPULSIVE LOUDMOUTH, SIMPLE-MINDED, DISAPPOINTMENT, UNHINGED, PREJUDICED, TRAITOR, THIEF, DOUBTER — THESE WERE JESUS’ DISCIPLES

POWERFUL SPEAKER, CHOSEN, TRUSTED FRIEND, PASSIONATE, PROPHET, FAITHFUL, TRUE BELIEVER — THESE WERE ALSO JESUS’ DISCIPLES

We understand that everyone has a past. We also believe that everyone has a future that isn’t written yet. We’re a people that aren’t afraid to show our scars — actually we prefer it. Just as Thomas saw and touched the scars of Jesus and believed, we offer those around us opportunity to see our scars and at the same time see our faith in Jesus, and join us in that faith.

No matter your background, no matter your history, you are welcome at MTN CHURCH. Plan your visit here.

OUR VISION

Our vision at MTN CHURCH is three-fold — to Love, to Learn, and to Live.

  • It’s not about us.

This is real love ― not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
    1 John 4:10

Jesus demonstrated this great love when He gave His life for ours on the cross. ― John 15:13

In response to this unconditional love that He has for us, we love Him and others. ― John 13:34

  • In response to His great love, we set out on a lifetime of learning about Him.

Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. — Matthew 11:29

The word disciple literally means learner. When we give our life to Jesus, we become His disciple — a new creation, with a limitless desire to know Him more intimately everyday.
    2 Peter 1:3

  • We are all called to the mission.

Again He said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent Me, so I am sending you.” — John 20:21

Jesus called us to love as He loved, and live as He lived. Just as He was sent by God for us, and He sent us to make disciples of all nations. — Matthew 28:19-20

To be a living example of the Gospel to those around us. Becoming all things to all people, so that some may be saved. — 1 Corinthians 9:22
