GIVE

You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
2 Corinthians 9:7-8

WHAT DOES GOD REQUIRE OF ME?

FAITH

Giving is an active expression of our faith. It recognizes God as our True Provider and affirms our confidence in His ability to supply all we need. It's an act of gratitude and dependence.

"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!" — Malachi 3:10

As we listen to God’s voice and seek His will for our lives, His plan for giving will become obvious to each of us. In response, we can eagerly give, knowing that it pleases Him. Through our gifts, we prove faithful in the stewardship of all God has provided for us, while He blesses us beyond what we can imagine.

FAITHFULNESS

Giving requires the highest standard of personal integrity and discipline. It is not a casual or occasional thing. In 2 Corinthians 8 and 9, the Bible teaches that we are to give willingly, generously, and cheerfully. Our giving should reflect a regular and systematic plan as we exercise our faith regularly in this way.

WHY DO WE GIVE TO THE LOCAL CHURCH?

As followers of Jesus, we are stewards of God’s resources and He is the owner of all that we have. Throughout scripture, we are reminded of the importance of giving back a portion of what God has so generously provided. His Word tells us that giving is an act of worship that should be done with a spirit of thanksgiving.

We believe that God wants to take care of our needs, and give us enough to share with others too. Money is most valuable when it is put to work helping people (Ephesians 4:28). As individuals and as the church, it is our privilege to give generously to people in need - locally, regionally, nationally, and abroad.

We believe that the Lord has led us at MTN CHURCH to tithe from the tithe. At minimum, 10% of every tithe and offering received goes into our Benevolent Fund for missions, mercy and ministry, that directly impacts our local community, and global missions.

The budget at MTN CHURCH is transparent and available for anyone who calls MTN CHURCH home to see. Please contact the church office if you have questions.
